Pakistan’s Water Cannot Be Stopped Anytime Soon, Says Indian Priest
Indian priest Swami Avimukteshwaranand has criticized the Modi government, claiming its promises to block Pakistan’s Indus River water are misleading. He stated that no real arrangements exist and even starting now, it would take at least 20 years to stop the river’s flow. He accused the government of using water politics to deceive the public and demanded accountability.
The statement comes as India suspends the Indus Waters Treaty and closes its borders with Pakistan following a deadly attack in Pahalgam, which killed 26 people.
