What You Can Learn in 5 Minutes to Change Your Life | Furqan panjwani

Sometimes it can take only five minutes to reshape your mind and the way you think. Life starts with making decisions; the right choice makes your life better, and for this, you should have a clear mind to avoid wrong choices. The biggest cause of poor judgment is anger; if you manage to control your emotions, you manage to control your life.

1. Balanced Thinking Through Small Actions

For better decisions, it's essential to clear your mind first. You can do a small exercise; you don't need a whole hour in the gym, but 10 minutes of something such as a short walk, light jogging, or a bunch of pushups, which can increase your blood flow in your brain, which is necessary for positive thinking and better ideas.

2. Mastering Anger Before It Masters You

One of the habits that can ruin your personal or professional life is reacting in anger, whether it is a poor choice of words, a bad decision, or an email that is sent in anger too quickly.

The biggest lesson you can learn is never to send an angry email.

Here are the things you  can do instead

  • Write an angry email, if you want to, but don't send it
  • Get away from the screen for a while. You can go for a short walk, hang around, or you can take a cup of tea.
  • Still, if you haven't cleared your mind, wait for another hour or a whole day if you need.
  • When anger goes, retype an email. This time, you will choose a polite way to write automatically and will focus only on facts that need to be discussed.
  • After a day, you will thank God that you didn't send an angry email and choose the polite one

After a time, you'll be more patient and more emotionally controlled, which will be better for yourself and the people around you.

The Power of Calm Leadership

The best leaders have one thing in common: they do not lose control; they are always calm and in control. Their focus is not on faults but on the solutions. They do not lose energy on finding people's mistakes, but they teach them and give them the right direction.

It does not mean leaders have no right to be emotional, but to change emotions to their strength, to make the right decision in any situation. To become a boss like Steve Jobs, you should practice being patient, learn powerful skills, and be disciplined.

The Long-Term Reward

Practicing these two habits, exercising to clear your mind and take a pause before reacting, these two things take a few minutes, but their impact is lasting. Over time, you will find yourself more patient, more powerful, and become respected by others.

And that is a true life-changing lesson worth five minutes of your timeline.
